Homespace is built to be easy to set up and straightforward to use, but it's normal to have questions — especially before you commit. The answers below cover the topics that come up most often, from first-time setup to payment processing rates. If you don't find what you need here, the support team is a chat away inside the app.

## Getting started

    Homespace is an all-in-one job management platform for home-service businesses. It combines lead capture, estimates, scheduling, field operations, payments, and customer retention tools into a single product — so you can run your business from one screen instead of juggling a handful of separate apps.

    It's designed specifically for trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool service, lawn care, roofing, cleaning, handyman, and 40+ other home-service verticals.

    The median new account reaches its first sent estimate in under 8 minutes. You connect your channels (phone number, booking form, social accounts), set up your pricebook, and you're running. There's no lengthy onboarding call required — though the support team is available if you want a guided walkthrough.

  <Accordion title="Do I need a credit card to start a trial?">
    No. The 14-day free trial requires no credit card. During the trial you have full access to the Complete Homespace Suite — estimates, invoices, scheduling, jobs, payments, customers, pricebook, recurring services, and the website builder are all unlocked.

    A few features that rely on paid resources are reserved for active subscriptions: the business phone number, paid domain registration, and email setup. Publishing your website also requires a paid subscription, though you can build and preview your full site during the trial. You only need to enter payment details when you're ready to subscribe or continue after the trial ends.

  <Accordion title="What can I do during the free trial?">
    You can build and preview your full website and store, set up customers, build your pricebook, send estimates and invoices, schedule jobs, and capture leads. The only features that wait until you subscribe are the ones that provision real-world resources tied to your business: publishing your website to a live domain, claiming your business phone number, and setting up business email. Everything you build during the trial carries over the moment you subscribe.

    Your account moves to the **free tier** automatically. You keep access to **Customers**, **Pricebook**, and **Estimates** for one user with no credit card required. Paid features like Jobs, Invoices, Scheduling, Recurring Services, Online Payments, the Website builder, Domains, Email, and Phone are paused until you subscribe. Your data is preserved — when you subscribe, every product is restored exactly as you left it.

    Homespace supports any business that does work at a customer's home or property. That includes:

    Yes. The Homespace Field app is available for iOS. It's designed for technicians working in the field — it shows their day's jobs in optimized route order, lets them take required photos, capture customer signatures, log time, and mark jobs complete. The app works offline and syncs automatically when a connection is restored.

    Office and dispatch work is best done on the web app, which is optimized for desktop use.

    * **Complete Homespace Suite** — every Homespace product. **$49/mo billed monthly**, or **$39/mo when billed yearly** (about 20% off). No long-term contract — you can switch billing cycles or cancel at any time.

    Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial of the Complete Suite — no credit card required.

    The free tier includes:

    * 1 user seat
    * **Customers** — store contact details, properties, and full job history
    * **Pricebook** — build and reuse your service catalog
    * **Estimates** — send Good / Better / Best estimates and collect customer signatures

    The free tier is permanent — there's no time limit and no credit card required. To unlock Jobs, Invoices, Scheduling, Recurring Services, Online Payments, the Website, Domains, Business Email, and Phone, subscribe to the Complete Homespace Suite from **Settings > Billing**.

  <Accordion title="Should I pick monthly or yearly billing?">
    Both billing cycles unlock the same Complete Homespace Suite. Monthly billing is **$49/mo** and gives you the most flexibility. Yearly billing is **$39/mo** (billed once a year) and saves about 20% — pick this if you know you'll use Homespace for a year or more. You can switch between cycles at any time from **Settings > Billing**.

  <Accordion title="Can I add more users?">
    The free tier and the base Complete Homespace Suite each include 1 user seat. If you have technicians or office staff who need their own logins, contact support at [help.homespace.co](https://help.homespace.co) to add additional seats to your subscription.

  <Accordion title="How do I cancel my subscription?">
    You can cancel at any time from **Settings > Billing > Cancel**. When you cancel, your subscription stays active through the end of your current billing period — you won't be charged again after that, and you keep full Complete Suite access until the period expires. After the period ends, your account moves to the free tier and your data is preserved. No cancellation fees.

## Payments

    Customers can pay using:

    * **Credit or debit card** — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover
    * **ACH bank transfer** — direct from their bank account
    * **Apple Pay** — one tap on supported iOS devices and Safari
    * **Google Pay** — one tap on supported Android devices and Chrome

    All payment methods are available directly from the customer-facing invoice link — no app install or account required on the customer's end.

  <Accordion title="How fast do I receive payouts?">
    Payments processed before **5 PM Pacific Time** are deposited to your bank account the same business day. Payments processed after 5 PM PT arrive the next business day. There are no holding periods for standard payouts once your bank account is verified.

    ACH is particularly cost-effective for large invoices — on a $2,000 job, ACH costs $5 instead of \$52 on a card.

  <Accordion title="Does Homespace integrate with QuickBooks?">
    Yes. Homespace includes a two-way QuickBooks sync. Customers, invoices, deposits, and fees all map to your QuickBooks chart of accounts automatically. Month-end reconciliation happens without manual imports or CSV exports.

## Website & domain

  <Accordion title="Is a website included with my plan?">
    Yes. Every Homespace plan includes a business website. It's a professional, mobile-friendly site branded with your business name, logo, services, and contact information. You don't need to hire a designer or manage a separate website platform — it's built in and stays in sync with your Homespace account.

  <Accordion title="Can I use my own domain name?">
    Yes. You can connect any domain you already own to your Homespace website. You can also claim a free subdomain in the format `yourbusiness.homespace.site` if you don't have a domain yet. Both options are available from your website settings.

  <Accordion title="How do I publish my website?">
    Go to **Dashboard > Website > Publish**. Once you publish, your site is live at your chosen domain. Changes you make after publishing take effect immediately when you re-publish. The status badge in the builder shows **Draft** until your latest changes are live, then switches to **Published**.

      If you're using a custom domain, make sure you've completed DNS verification first. Your site will show at your `.homespace.site` subdomain in the meantime.

  <Accordion title="Can I build my website during the free trial?">
    Yes. Trial accounts can pick a template, edit every section, upload photos, and preview the full site — including a store preview where you can test the cart layout. Publishing is the only step that requires a paid plan; clicking **Publish** during the trial shows a one-click upgrade prompt, and your draft is preserved exactly as you left it.

## Account access

  <Accordion title="Why don't I see Jobs, Invoices, or another feature in my sidebar?">
    Homespace tailors your sidebar, the **New** button, the command palette (⌘K), and the home dashboard tabs to the products enabled on your account. If a feature isn't included in your current plan, it stays hidden so you only see the tools you can actually use.

    Free-tier accounts see only **Customers**, **Pricebook**, and **Estimates**. Active Complete Homespace Suite subscribers and trial accounts see every product. If you've been moved to a custom plan and a feature is missing, contact support to confirm what's enabled.

  <Accordion title="What happens when I open a feature my plan doesn't include?">
    If you visit a page for a product that isn't enabled — for example, by following an old link or a bookmark — Homespace redirects you to an upgrade page that explains what the feature does and how to subscribe. Your data is never lost; once the product is re-enabled, the page works as before.

    If you're confident the feature should be available and you're still being redirected, reach out through in-app chat so support can review your account entitlements.
